South China University of Technology (SCUT) is one of China’s leading universities. South China University of Technology is a key comprehensive research-oriented university under Project 985 and Project 211. It operates under the direct leadership of the State Ministry of Education. SCUT is a member of Project 985 and Project 211 which means top excellent in teaching and research, it is one of the universities approved by MOE to accept international students on Chinese Government Scholarships.
SCUT has two campuses in Guangzhou. South China University of Technology (SCUT), formerly known as the South China Institute of Technology, was established in 1952, through the amalgamation of the technical faculties of 12 universities in 5 provinces in central and southern China, including Sun Yat-sen University, Lingnan University, Hunan University, Guangxi University, etc
