GMU is qualified by Ministry of Education (MOE) in China to recruit international medical students in English since 2010. Bachelor degree MBBS In English English 6 Years 2023-10-31 2023-09-19 RMB 30000 Per year Mbbs Program Description The Ministry of Education, China announced strict measures known as Interim Provisions for Quality Control Standards on Undergraduate Medical Education in English for International Students in China in the year 2007, and since then, it has been publishing the list of medical schools which have are qualified to recruit international MBBS students in English medium. Guangzhou Medical University is one of the 34 medical schools, in the year 2010, which were qualified by MOE to recruit international MBBS students in English medium. GMU strictly follows the regulations of MOE, China, with regard to policies to recruit international MBBS students in English medium, in order to impart quality medical education such as course duration, internship, course curriculum, teachers’qualification, admission criteria, etc. Course Duration As per criteria established by MOE, China, course duration for MBBS in English medium is 6 years which includes one year internship in the affiliated hospitals of GMU. Fee Structure Tuition Fee: RMB 30,000/year Textbooks: Actual charge Accommodation Fee: RMB 4,000/year Registration Fee (1st year only): RMB 500 Residence Permit: RMB 400 Medical Insurance: RMB 600/year Living Cost: RMB 1,000~1,500 per month In Total: RMB 47,500~53,500 per year Internship The internship starts from the last year with duration of 48 weeks. Students need to do the internship in the affiliated hospitals of Guangzhou Medical University. Before the internship, students need to reach HSK 3. The internship will be taken in the 8 affiliated hospitals of WMC with a total of 12,000 beds. Degree Awarded MBBS Degree: On completing the requirements of the teaching program and passing the graduation examinations successfully, international medical undergraduates will be granted a graduation certificate and conferred a medical degree by the GMU, if they meet the degree regulations of the university. The English copy of the degree will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). After obtaining MBBS Degree, the graduates can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council in order to get registered and practice medicine. According to the regulations in different countries, the students may need to do the degree accreditation first. A MBBS degree holder can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes and other health facilities. Except this, one can also start his own clinic or pursue study for master’s degree.   Internship and Career The internship starts from the last year with duration of 48 weeks. Students need to do the internship in the affiliated hospitals of Guangzhou Medical University. Before the internship, students need to reach HSK 3. The internship will be taken in the 8 affiliated hospitals of GMU with a total of more than 52,92 beds. During internship, students can still live in the dormitory.

Live on Campus MBBS students will live in International Students Apartment of main campus, and two students share a room. The accommodation fee is RMB 6000 per year

Master Degree 1.A passport-sized photo 2.Copy of passport (the photo page) 3.Copy of your bachelor degree transcript (Notarized English translation if applicable ) 4.Copy of your bachelor degree certificate (Notarized English translation if applicable ) 5.English language proficiency certificate (non-English speaking countries) 6.non-criminal record or working proof (for non-fresh graduate) 7.study plan 8.two recommendation letters Doctoral Degree 1.  Photocopy of valid passport With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included. 2.  Passport-sized photo A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant. 3.  Master's degree diploma Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized. 4.   Transcript of postgraduate school 5.  Health certificate(optional) Photocopy of physical examination record. 6.   Two recommendation letters(optional) From professor,associate professor or equivalents. 7.  Certificate of English proficiency test IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker. 8.  Financial guarantee letter Photocopy of the signatured financial guarantee letter from his/her financial guarantor to prove their solvency.
