Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT)
Founded in 1958, Guangdong University of Technology is a multi-disciplinary university engaging with the international community. In the last 60 years the university has become a key educational and research institution in Guangdong province in Southern China with a reputation for educating highly qualified and respected graduates. GDUT is a key provincial university of the High Level University Construction Project of Guangdong Province. University ranks 601-800 in the world and 43-70 in Chinese mainland according to THE 2021, 933rd overall in the world and top 166th in the category of Engineering according to USNews 2021.
Located in Guangzhou, China’s third largest city, GDUT has 5 campuses with a total land area of more than 550 acres. The University offers a wide range of courses in engineering, management, arts, economics, science, literature and law, with major emphasis on the study. More than 2200 full-time teachers in the University support a student population of over 46,000 attaining degrees at Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels. GDUT also enrolls international students and various levels of continuing education students.
GDUT boasts 20 faculties and schools, 4 public courses teaching centers, offering diverse courses in its 85 bachelor’s programs, 52 master’s programs, 11 PhD programs, and 5 post doctoral mobile stations. GDUT attaches great importance to scientific research and disciplinary development and has a strong record of achievement. According to latest report released by ESI data base, disciplines of Engineering,Materials Science, Computer Science, Chemistry,Environmental Science/Ecology of GDUT ranking top 1% in the world.
Since 2014, all the disciplines have been listed in the first batch of undergraduate enrollment in the National University EntranceExams. Mechanical Engineering, Information Engineering, Material Engineering and Chemical Engineering are listed in“211 Project” Key Construction Program of Guangdong Province. National, provincial and local government projects have benefited for years from the contribution of GDUT research expertise. In 2019, funding received for scientific research of GDUT reached more than 1 billion RMB.
Furthermore, GDUT is developing an excellent overseas reputation as a valued partner.University investments in research and teaching infrastructure include:

The University Library has a collection of over 4.01 million volumes and over 2.34 million volumes of electronic journals.

About International Student Study at GDUT
IEC: International Education Center is the specialized institution responsible for international students enrollment,education and service, and dedicating in interculture communication promotion.
IEC has a remarkable faculty with various academic background ranging from engineering,literature,linguistics, history to economy, management and international relations. IEC accepts international students for long term and short term language programs,general advanced and other tailor-made programs, providing English and Chinese taught different level degree programs for international students. In recent years, more than 4500 international students participated in different programs at IEC.
