Anhui Medical University is one of the key universities in Anhui Province. The campus covers an area of 720 thousand square meters and with total floorage of about 700 thousand square meters. The university has the longest history and is also the first authorized university to admit Ph.D. and post-doctorial students in Anhui Province. Different undergraduate programs and courses are being offered in 29 special fields of study, and one 7-year bachelor-master program (clinical medicine). Mbbs Program Description Anhui Medical University is qualified by China Ministry of Education to offer fully English medium medical programs for international students, so the international students will have no language problems in class. Also, Anhui Medical University has 4000 clinical sites that help internship students master medical knowledge and skills; and will take internship at home countries or in China. Teaching Objectives Clinical Medicine (MBBS) is mainly to train the international students capacities of body structure and function in human beings, human behavior, and normal state of mind; Causes of common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases including mental illnesses, the impact of environmental, social, behavioral and psychological factors on the occurrence and development of diseases and the importance of disease prevention; Pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, diagnosis and preventive ways of common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases; Basic knowledge of pharmacology and clinical principles of rational drug use; Normal pregnancy and delivery, common obstetric emergency treatment, principles of prenatal and postnatal health care, and family planning; Health education and disease prevention, common diseases, disabilities, rehabilitation, hospice care, and general practice; Knowledge of clinical epidemiology; Basic patterns of development and spread of infectious diseases, and prevention of common infectious diseases. Duration 6 years Internship The institutions shall meticulously organize the reasonable arrangement of the internship. The duration of the internship is one year (at least 48 weeks).
